With a view toward implementing a full heavy ion scheme for inertial fusion through cluster ion beams(CIB) we detail the final impacting phase of energetic cluster silicon ions on a cold and also on a hot and dense plasma target. So, we pay attention to simultaneous ionization, fragmentation, multiple scattering of ion debris submitted to correlated stopping. We do stress pertaining topological main stopping effects. Finally, we display 1D simulations for direct as well as indirectly driven scenarios for inertial confinement fusion featuring very encouraging features.


Prof.Claude Deutsch has been working in heavy ion fusion for the last 30 years.

-He is headed for the national and experimental gathering called SPQR through three laboratories in France between 1989 and 1996,(CNRS).

-The director of the ORSAY (University of Paris fud),plasma physics laboratory(1994-1999).

-Co.Editor of the journal “Laser And Particle Beams”.

-Recipient of CNRS Silver Medal.

-Fellow of the American Physical Society (APS).
